What are you thankful for?!

What are you thankful for?!

Thanksgiving is a festival celebrated in almost ten countries across the globe. It is one of the most looked forward to holidays in the U.S and Canada. Thanksgiving kick starts the holiday season, which is followed by Christmas and New Year.

As the name suggests, Thanksgiving is observed to give thanks for the blessings of the harvest and the preceding year. It has long been celebrated as a secular holiday. Every year it is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Did you know that there was no turkey on the menu at the first Thanksgiving?!

Now you must be thinking, what is the relevance of Thanksgiving to children?

We are currently living in an age where things aren’t just revolving around a single city, or a state or a country. Every scenario is global in nature, and as caregivers we are all striving to provide the maximum exposure to our little ones.

Festivals are the quickest way to give your tiny tots an idea about different cultures, languages, history, geography and so on! You can tap their curiosity in the right direction and help them gather some additional information about the world.

Here are some exciting engagements you can try with your preschoolers this Thanksgiving!
