We hope you had an amazing Christmas with your family! But the holiday season is
not over yet, so is your preschoolers’ break and here we are again with some
Christmas movie suggestions for your toddlers! Your child may watch it in one stretch
or watch it bit by bit over 2-3 days. Let’s get straight to the movies now!
1. Scrooge: A Christmas Carol (2022)
The story is based on one of the most loved literature by Charles Dickens. The main
character, Scrooge, revisits the different Christmases of the past, present and
future. As he journeyed through each one of them, he gained more empathy and was
able to embrace the spirit of Christmas. Eventually, he learned the generosity of
giving, the happiness in spending time with family and friends, and enjoying a nice
meal on Christmas! You can watch it on Netflix.
This movie encourages one to revisit and reflect upon their self, and reminds them to
be grateful of their blessings! This would be a wonderful option to watch with your
children during this season of joy and happiness!
2.Arthur Christmas(2011)
Everyone knows Santa delivers all the toys to the kids in the owls during Christmas,
but no one knows how that is accomplished until now. Santa has extremely high-tech
machinery that manufactures all the toys and with the help of his little elves of
course. They soon realize that they missed out on one of the children’s presents and
someone has to save the day. That someone is Arthur- Santa’s youngest son. Arthur
being a clumsy person struggles to finish this task, but ends up believing in himself
and completing it! This one is also streaming on Netflix.
An amazing watch for children and adults. The importance of believing in yourself no
matter how different you are has been beautifully portrayed through this movie. As
caregivers, we should work towards building a generation of confident young minds!
Let’s tell our little ones that it’s okay to be different and it’s okay to feel fine about it!
3.Elf(2003)
It takes a truly brilliant performance to sell the concept of a middle-aged man who
believes he’s one of Santa’s elves. But there are few roles as custom-made for each
other as Will Ferrell and Buddy the Elf. After spending his entire life in the North
Pole, Buddy returns to New York City to reunite with the human father that gave
him up for adoption. You can watch this movie on Amazon Prime.
It’s an absolute Christmas comedy movie which you can watch together as a family!
4. The Grinch (2018)
In the town of Whoville, the human-like people called Whos are filled with excitement
about celebrating Christmas. However, the only one who is not amused is the grumpy,
cantankerous and green-furred Grinch! Nobody knows why he is so keen on ruining
Christmas but the story later unfolds the true reason behind Grinch’s behavior. The
movie is streaming on Youtube.
A good watch during this festive season, stressing on togetherness, family and
friends! Children will have a fun time watching it, for sure!
